In a Baritone guitar a 12 string emits by far the most overtones.

 

Unless you are looking for an instrument to detune for metal applications the 12 string is almost always superior. The Baritone 12 string can sound very full like 3 rhythm guitars.

Baritone guitars are tuned to a lower range: B to B rather than E to E, or whatever alternate tuning the player is used to. This gives the guitar an unbelievably deep resonance. Ed Roman Guitars has carried baritone guitars for 30 plus  years now, and it seems people are just now catching on to the incredible sound of the baritone guitar.
