Baritone guitars are tuned to a lower range: B to B rather than E to E, or whatever alternate tuning the player is used to. This gives the guitar an unbelievably deep resonance. Ed Roman Guitars has carried baritone guitars for 30 plus  years now, and it seems people are just now catching on to the incredible sound of the baritone guitar.

Baritone Guitars are a real improvement to the overall sound of any recording. The 12 string version is nothing short of amazing.
