The Hamer Daytona is thought to be the finest affordable Strat clone that ever existed.
Too Bad They Discontinued It

I like Hamer guitars but I never could understand all the hoopla on the Daytona
There was nothing all that special about it. In my opinion It was just like a Fender
A great workingman's guitar but nothing out of the ordinary !!!
  The Pearlcaster decimates it !!!
