Jimmy D'Aquisto Guitars
Jimmy D'Aquisto worked for John D'Angelico and learned his craft from the master himself. Personally I really like a lot of the D'Aquisto Innovations that happened when Jimmy went on his own. For example Jimmy's designs were sleeker, The Pickguards, Tailpieces and other accessories were made from Ebony and simply look much better to the designers eye in me.
Today the D'Angelico guitars cost slightly more than the D'Aquisto but the name D'Angelico commands more money even though they are both built in the same factories.
