This Guitar Has Been Sold For $100.000.00 September of 2011
This Guitar Built By Semie Mosely Was Originally One Of The
Guitars That Was Made For The Ventures! As the story goes The
Ventures were not receiving their royalty checks so they switched
from Mosrite & Played Fenders for several years. This guitar was
given to Elvis By The Ventures & Elvis was really impressed with the
ultra low action & The tone of the guitar.
Elvis's lifelong friend JD Sumner, Who Elvis admired musically as a
teenager, mentioned to Elvis that he really liked the color of the
guitar and the incredible low action. Elvis gave the guitar to him &
then contacted Mosrite to get himself a replacement (This time
In black) (Which explains any pictures of Elvis with a Black
Mosrite.) |
